Opportunity House, IncOpportunity House, a non-profit 501(c) 3 was founded in 1980 by a group of parents for the purpose of developing a lifelong home for their autistic children who, at the time were adolescents and young adults. The intent was to develop a well-thought out, carefully planned, and stable environment. Ten years later, Opportunity House grew to three homes serving seventeen adult residents. The homes opened in 1982, 1984, and 1990. In 1993 Opportunity House added a vocational program. In 2002 & 2014 additional Day Programs were added to provide vocational/employment and recreational services to individuals on the autism spectrum.
Opportunity House, Inc. will continually strive to support its' lifelong residents within the autism spectrum to develop to their fullest potential and to achieve an optimal quality of life at home, at work, and in the community

All of the fundraising profits are utilized in a variety of manners throughout the year, depending upon the need such as: vehicle purchases, furniture, or enhancing our program and services thus, allowing our residents to be involved within the community, as this allows us to continue with our mission.
