This campaign expires September 30, 2020
The Arc Sunrise of Central Florida scholarship program makes it possible for financially needy people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (I/DD) to attend The Adult Day Learning Program at The Arc Sunrise of Central Florida. Due to additional budget cuts occurring this year, the need for this funding has significantly increased. Due to the unique structure of this program, 100% of all grant funds will go directly to people with I/DD. No grant funds will be allocated to administrative costs.
The Arc Sunrise of Central Florida Scholarship Program will support people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (I/DD) demonstrating financial need to:
1.Escape unsafe isolation and boredom.
2.Learn objective and measurable academic, life, health/wellness, and vocational skills.
3.Gain valuable social contacts.
4.Avoid choosing between medical supplies/dental services or participating in these learning services.
5.Assist family members by making it possible for family caregivers to be gainfully employed.
