B. I. G. Love Cancer Care ServicesB.I.G. Love Cancer Care services is a 501c3, non-profit volunteer based organization committed to providing basic necessities and personalized care for cancer kids and their families at 5 Texas Hospitals- MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children's hospital (main, Katy and Woodlands) and Dell Children's hospital (Austin), Established in 2007, B.I.G. Love (Brooke's Incredible Gift) was founded by Jessica and Chaney Phillips in memory of their 5 year old daughter Brooke after her long battle with leukemia.
When a child has cancer, the financial strain can devastate a family and often the family is split apart so one parent can continue to work to support the family. Siblings live with relatives. Hospital rooms become second homes. When a child has concer, families become isolated from the outside world and experience immense strain, anxiety, fear and uncertainty.
Brooke's illness gave Chaney and Jessica insight to recognize the strong need for support for cancer families and last year more than 86 cents on the dollar funded 20 patient programs providing love and support to more than 100,000 patients and families at 5 hospitals.
This campaign expires December 31, 2019
Fulfills weekly (52 weeks a year) wishes and needs of cancer kids and their families on the inpatient units and outpatient clinics with comfort items (food, snacks, detergent, toiletries, blankets, socks, pajamas, snacks, etc...)
